Details
The technique done on the artwork is known as gesso technique. Traditional gesso is mixed with animal glue to give that thick consistency. The dots and outlines are executed in raised gesso, known as kyung bur in Tibetan, and then gilded with lacquer. The skill lies in mixing the right constituency of the gesso; too thick and it will crack, to runny and it will not stay in place.
