It is one of the important forms and one of the most ingenious and beautiful designs of classical Chinese furniture. It is also considered to be a masterpiece of Chinese cabinet making, as only the finest craftsmen were able to construct and design, and measure of judgment being the craftsman's direct experience and trained eye.
